Chapter 17

***Warning Adult Content***

Ronnie finally had all the details of her dream wedding set. She and Brad were getting married at the American Airlines Center. Since Ronnie's dad was very influential they were able to rent it out for the wedding.

Meanwhile Brad was having to travel to New York and North Carolina because he was in talks with the Rangers and the Hurricanes. He really wanted to stay put in Dallas because that is where his friends and life is now but changes happen. He was trying to be a supportive fiance and help with the wedding as much as possible. Ronnie knew that Brad was doing all he could while figuring out where he would be playing hockey next season.

One day while Brad was out of town in North Carolina, Ronnie had just finished another doctor's appointment and was heading to go to lunch with her dad. She was sitting in her car in the parking lot and she called Brad.

"Hello beautiful, how are you?" Brad answered.
Ronnie blushed and giggled before she answered, "Hey hot stuff, I am good. I was calling to tell you about my doctors appointment".
"How is our baby star?" Brad asked.
"Baby star is doing very well, healthy and growing a lot" Ronnie said patting her growing abdomen.
"I am glad to hear that the baby is healthy and growing".
"Me too after all I have been through with this pregnancy".
"So what else are you doing today?" Brad asked.
"I am heading to lunch with dad but I just wanted to call you".
"I am glad you did call me and I love you. I will be home in time for the rehearsal dinner in a couple of days".
"I still can not believe we are getting married in two days. I am super excited and love you more" Ronnie said.
"Sweetie, I love you but I gotta run to a meeting and I would totally rather talk with you but my agent is motioning for me to move along. I will call you later and we can talk more. Love you baby" Brad said.
"I love you too" Ronnie said and then they both hung up.

Ronnie headed to the restaurant where she and her dad were meeting. Ronnie saw he dad sitting at the table.

After lunch Ronnie headed home and decided to take a nap. She was sleeping when she felt a hand and she jumped and turned around. She looked into the face of Brad smiling at her.
"Surprise" he said and she leaned up to kiss him.

Ronnie did not realize how much she missed being close to Brad and so not really thinking she started taking off Brad's shirt and of course he took over the love making session that Ronnie had started. They kissed, touched and explored each others bodies.

Brad kissed Ronnie all over and she cried out his name, "Yes Brad yes yes oh god yes Bradley". Brad smirked because he knew he was pleasuring Ronnie and he was enjoying their lovemaking too. He entered her gently and slowly moved in and out of Ronnie. She moved her hips to match Brad's movements and the both had amazing orgasms. Brad swore under his breath as he emptied his seed into Ronnie's womb.

Brad moved off of Ronnie and held her close. Ronnie looked at Brad, "You are home early".
"Yeah I wanted to surprise you and we could have some alone time too" Brad explained.
"I love that idea and I hope you enjoyed her welcome home surprise" Ronnie giggled and moved into Brad's embrace.
"Yes I did sweetheart. I really did and then he leaned back down to kiss her senseless which made them both happy.

Chapter 16

Ronnie and Brad were all into planning the wedding. They were tasting cake samples and checking out photographers that would work the best for them.

Ronnie was dress shopping with her father and her best friend, Mia Crosby-Letang. Ronnie wanted her dress to be a surprise to Brad.

Ronnie walked out in a beautiful princess dress and both her father and Mia just gasped at how perfect the dress looked on her. Ronnie stepped in front of the mirrors and twirled around and then looked at her dad.

"Oh my word, sweetie you looked beautiful" Joe said walking over to his daughter.
"Really dad" Ronnie said surprised.
"Yes Ronnie, you look just like your mom when I married her" Joe exclaimed.
"Thanks dad" Ronnie said smiling at her dad. Then Mia got up and walked over and exclaimed, "Wow girl you look gorgeous and Brad is going to lose his mind when he sees you in this dress!"
"Mia, you are funny" Ronnie giggled which made Mia laugh too.

After all the laughing Ronnie realized this was her dress and her dad bought it and they had it altered to fit Ronnie perfectly.

As they all left the store, Joe had to head back to work and so the girls went to have lunch. They were seated and Ronnie looking at Mia, "So Mia, how is your hottie defenseman hubby doing?"
Mia blushed and giggled and then said, "Kris is fine and actually hanging out with Nathan doing father and son things".
"Awwww that is so cute they are doing that. I wonder what kind of dad, Brad will be when our kiddo is born?" Ronnie thought.
"Yeah I had the same thoughts about Kris when I had Nathan and Kris is the best dad ever and he is excited about number two also" Mia said patting her pregnant abdomen.
"Yeah its awesome we are both pregnant at the same time" Ronnie said.
The girls continued to talk about marriage and babies until they both had to get home.

Ronnie got back to her and Brad's place and could not believe the mess that Brad had made. She put down her stuff and got to work in cleaning the condo. She was cleaning when Brad walked in and saw Ronnie cleaning, "Stop Now!" Brad exclaimed and that surprised Ronnie who dropped the stack of magazines she was holding onto her toes.

"Owww, my toes" Ronnie shouted and sat down and rubbed her foot.
"Ronnie, I am so sorry and did not mean to scared you. Is your foot ok?" Brad asked and sat down next to Ronnie.
"Yeah its fine but I am mad at you!" Ronnie said sounding frustrated.
"Why what did I do?" Brad asked sounding confused.
"You left the place a mess and so I had to clean it up".
"Sorry Ronnie, I rushed out to see some of the guys for lunch and was going to try and get back before you did and clean up but obviously that did not happen. I am so so sorry baby. I will finish and you can rest and I will even make dinner so you do not have to tonight" Brad said and kissed Ronnie and she let Brad finish cleaning the condo and just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Just as Brad had promised he ordered out dinner and they talked about more wedding plans and possible honeymoon ideas. It was lots of fun for the two of them.

Chapter 15

A few months later the hockey season was close to the end and the Dallas Stars had to win this last game to make it into the playoffs. Brad was ready to give his all for this last game against Minnesota. Even though the game was away Ronnie was flying with the team thanks to her dad. She was sitting next to Brad by the window and totally into her book and Brad was playing cards with a few of his teammates. The game was getting intense which usually happened but there was lots of interesting language too. At one point the new Dallas Star player, Alex Goligoski, whom they had gotten in an earlier trade, said, "Hey guys language, we have a lady on board".
Ronnie looked up and saw Alex smiling and she shook her head, "Alex, its sweet of you to be concerned for my ears but I have heard everything in the book. I am totally ignoring your card game so keep acting like I am not even here".
Alex nodded and went back to the game with his teammates.

Ronnie after a while made Brad get up so she could go and stretch her legs and talk to her dad. He let her pass and just for fun lightly smacked her butt. Ronnie turned to give Brad a look and he just shrugged his shoulders and she laughed and walked over to her dad.

Joe was in a conversation with the stars coach and when Ronnie came into his view he stopped, "Hey darling are you ok?"
"Yes dad I am fine I just wanted to talk to you for a moment if that was possible" Ronnie said.
"Of course I will always have time for you, sweetie" Joe said excusing himself from the coach and they went to some empty seats closer to the front of the plane.

Once they were settled Joe looked at his daughter, "What did you want to talk about?"
"I just want to thank you for letting me coming along on this trip with the team. I know its not custom for last minute guests to join the trip but I am very thankful" Ronnie explained.
"Darling, you are not a random last minute guest you are my daughter and I knew you needed to get away from Dallas for a little while plus I had a feeling that Brad might feel better that you were in his sights after the Sean thing at the condo" Joe explained looking back at Brad who happen to be looking at Joe and Ronnie with concern. Ronnie looked over at Brad and smiled which made Brad smile back and then get back to his card game.
"I love you dad" Ronnie said and gave him a hug which of course Joe hugged his daughter back tightly.
"I love you too darling Ronnie. You know your mother would be so proud of you if she saw you now and all that you have accomplished".
"I hope so dad. I am sorry she could not handle our life but I am happy because you were the best parent ever. I know I am stronger and happier because of all you did for me as well as grandma and granddad" Ronnie said smiling.
"You better not forget this little guys dad too he is a wonderful person too" Joe said patting Ronnie's starting to show baby bump.
"Of course this little guys dad is wonderful and I really do not know how I would have survived without him too" Ronnie giggled.
Just at that moment Joe's cell phone went off and he looked down at it, "Sorry sweetie but I have to take this call. Is there anything else?" he asked.
"No take your call that was all. Thanks again dad" Ronnie said getting up and heading back to her seat next to Brad.

She sat down as Brad said, "Hey is everything ok?"
"Yeah" Ronnie said putting her hand on his thigh.
Brad smiled and kissed her cheek and then went back to his game and Ronnie got back into her book.

Finally they landed in Minnesota for the last regular season game. The Stars did not play their best and ended up losing to the Wild. They were out of the playoffs which sucked.

The locker room was quiet and everyone just listened as their coach told them they had done well yeah it was hard to lose but they would always have next season to try again for the Stanley Cup.

The plane ride back to Dallas was very quiet and most everyone was asleep including Ronnie. She was out cold just like Brad who was holding her.

When Ronnie and Brad got to the airport and said their goodnights to her dad and his teammates they got into the car and headed home. They drove in silence and Ronnie looked at Brad and could tell he was sad about not making the playoffs. She knew he had a tough season and his contract was up this summer, so he did not know where he would end up playing next season. That thought made Ronnie realize that she would be moving too because where ever Brad was she was right next to him through the good and bad. Another thought ran through Ronnie's brain she realized that she and Brad should get married over the summer.

"Hey Brad" Ronnie said to get Brad attention because he was trying to stay awake and drive them home safely.
"Yes" he said quietly.
"I have made a big decision" she said which made Brad look at her.
"What is that?" he asked.
"Let's get married here in Dallas before your contract is up. We can do it. I know my dad will help out and has lots of contacts so it will not be that stressful. Plus it will put that gorgeous smile on your face that I love so much" Ronnie said giving Brad her brightest smile.
"I love that idea Ronnie. Let's do it" Brad said.
"Yay" Ronnie cheered and Brad laughed.

Chapter 14

****Warning Bad Language and Violence****


Ronnie was out doing some errands with her dad around Dallas. She was enjoying the fact that she was getting out of the house. The doctor has said she could go out but she had to have someone with her luckily her dad was always willing if Brad or one of her other friends were not available.

Ronnie had finally finished everything and her dad, Joe had just dropped her off at the condo. He helped her take all of her stuff inside.

"Thanks dad for everything. You do not know how much this means to be to get these errands done so when Brad gets home things are pretty settled" Ronnie said going and hugging her dad.
"Anything for you darling and now you need some rest so just take it easy for the rest of the day" Joe said kissing the top of his daughter's head.
"I promise and I might even need a nap" Ronnie said.
"Ok well I will go and talk to you later" Joe said as he left Ronnie. Ronnie locked the door and headed back to the bedroom to sleep.

Several hours later Ronnie heard the doorbell so she got up and went to look out the peephole. She stepped back in shock and thought to herself why is he here in Dallas. He lives in New York and has not bothered her for several years but she opened the door and then all she saw was a huge fist smack her in the face.

Ronnie fell backwards and then tried to get up but Sean kept her down by putting his foot on her chest.

"You fucking little bitch! I see you are sleeping around with Brad Richards these days. You really are the little slut that I remember" Sean said.
"Get your foot off of me now" Ronnie shouted.
"Sorry slut, but you are in the perfect spot beneath me and screaming my name or harder and faster" Sean laughed and then slapped Ronnie's face.
She cried and yelled at him to go but he did not listen. He finally moved to lock the door and while he was doing that she got up and grabbed her cell phone and called 911 as she ran into her bedroom.

Sean turned around and ran after Ronnie, "Bitch where the fuck are you? Get the fuck back out here now before I really hurt you badly. If you are a good girl I will make it feel good and not bad. Open the fucking door you slut" Sean said banging on the door.

"What's your emergency?" the 911 operator said.
"My ex boyfriend is trying to rape me and has already hit me and pushed me around. He is not supposed to be around me because of a restraining order I have but he does not listen" Ronnie cried.
"What's your name and your address?" the operator asked and Ronnie answered all the questions as she listened to Sean bang on the door. Ronnie hid in the closet because she thought Sean might break down the bedroom door. Sure enough a few minutes later the police showed up and broke in the door and grabbed Sean.

Another policewoman walked into the bedroom, "Ronnie, its the police and we are here to help you".
Ronnie slowly opened the door to the closet and peeked around the door and saw the policewoman and then felt better.
"Where is my ex?" Ronnie asked giving herself a hug.
"He is with my partner in handcuffs and we found the restraining order so he is under arrest and will be made to go back to New York with a police escort this afternoon" the policewoman said.
Ronnie was relieved and really hoped that Brad would get home soon. She needed him badly, "Thank you".
"You are welcome and is there anyone who can stay with you until we let you know he is back in New York?"
"Yeah my dad can be here soon and my fiance should be back tonight" Ronnie said.
"Well call your dad and I will stay here till he shows up" the policewoman said.
"I will now" Ronnie called her dad and explained everything and he was on his way.

When her dad got there the policewoman and Ronnie explained everything and he thank the policewoman and the he and Ronnie hung out in Ronnie's condo.

Ronnie and her dad just hung out at the condo. They talked, played card games and watched tv. It was nice just the two of them hanging out.

"Ronnie have you called Brad and told him what happened?" Joe asked.
Ronnie shook her head, "No and I want to wait until I see him".
"Fine, you have been through a lot lately so do it how you want" Joe said.
"Thanks dad" Ronnie said.

Joe stayed until Brad showed up which was late and Brad was surprised to see Ronnie and Joe still up and chilling out in the living room.

"Hey what's going on?" Brad asked putting his bag down and taking off his shoes. He walked over to Ronnie and sat down next to her on the sofa. He gave her a quick kiss on the lips. Ronnie snuggled into his chest and Brad held her.

"I think I am gonna go now that you are back, Brad" Joe said getting up.
"Dad, you do not need to leave yet" Ronnie said.
"What's going on?" Brad asked looking freaked out.
"Brad, Sean showed up and tried to rape me and he did hit me but the police got here in the nick of time. He was taken back to New York and I am ok" Ronnie explained.
"What the fuck was he doing here anyway. You have a restraining order and he should not be anywhere near you ever again" Brad practically screamed.
"I am fine and so is the baby. He did not hurt the baby. I swear".
"I know and I am going to make sure you are safe no matter what" Brad said. Ronnie smiled and enjoyed being in Brad's arms.

Joe left and knew that everything would be fine with Ronnie and Brad. Brad was a very protective and loving man towards Ronnie.

Chapter 13

Several weeks later and Brad was back to playing again. He was enjoying playing again and being with his teammates and going on road trips. He missed Ronnie a lot when he was gone but they talked on the phone a lot.

Ronnie was having to rely on her dad to get her to appointments and other things when Brad was gone. She missed Brad a lot but was super happy he was playing again.

One weekend Ronnie was resting in the bedroom watching tv when she started feeling weird. She got up from the bed and then her world went black.


A few hours later Ronnie woke up in a hospital room with her dad talking to the doctor. She was wondering what happened.

"Hey what's going on?" Ronnie asked and then the doctor and her dad turned around to look at her.
"Sweetie, you are awake. How are you feeling?" Joe, Ronnie's dad, asked.
"I feel fine but the last thing I remember I was in my room and I got up to go to the bathroom and then I wake up and I am here. What's going on and what about my baby?" Ronnie asked freaking out.
"Ronnie, you fainted and your sugar level was low. Have you been eating like you should be doing?" the doctor asked.
"Well I guess I thought I was eating well but maybe since Brad has been gone a lot and so I am not as good as I should be and I know that is wrong" Ronnie said feeling guilty.
"Ronnie, I have decided to keep you here overnight to make sure everything is fine with you and your baby" the doctor said and Ronnie nodded and then the doctor left Ronnie and her dad alone.

"Dad, I feel so bad as a mom. I know better after all I have been through and oh gosh Brad is gonna hate me for not taking care of me and the baby" Ronnie sobbed and Joe hugged his daughter.
"Its going to be ok and I do not think that Brad will hate you. He loves you" Joe said trying to reassure his daughter that everything would be ok.

Ronnie had her dad call Brad and tell him she was in the hospital. Brad freaked out and was able to get back to Dallas quickly.

When Brad got to the hospital he found Ronnie's room and when he walked in she was sleeping. He went over to sit down on her bed and just watch her sleep. He had been freaking out on the inside because he had no idea why Ronnie was in the hospital. When he got a cab he told the driver go as fast as possible but no accidents along the way. The driver laughed and got Brad to the hospital as fast as he could from the airport.

After a little while Brad ended up getting more comfortable next to Ronnie and fell asleep.

The nurse walked in and saw Brad and Ronnie asleep and laughed but then she went over to Brad and woke up Brad.

"Excuse me" the nurse said as she gently nudged Brad. He stirred and then moved to look at who had woken him.
Brad smiled, "Sorry I got here kinda late and she was sleeping and I did not want to wake her but I had to make sure my fiancee was going to be fine".
"Its fine but I need to check her stats".
"That's fine I will be right back anyway" Brad said and then left the nurse to do her job.

After a little bit the nurse was done and Brad went back into Ronnie's room. Ronnie was awake and she saw Brad and smiled, "Hey".
"Hey beautiful, how are you feeling?"
"Good and the doctors said I will be fine" Ronnie said.
"Why are you in the hospital?" Brad asked worriedly.
Ronnie shook her head and tried to turn away from Brad but he would not let her.
"Ronnie tell me now" Brad said sternly.
"I feel ashamed for why" Ronnie explained but finely gave in, "I was not eating correctly and I fainted".
"Ronnie how could not take care of yourself and our baby?" Brad said looking very upset.
Ronnie got upset and the tears started forming and then Brad felt bad and pulled Ronnie close, "I am sorry Ronnie, baby and I love you and I do not want anything to happen to you or the baby".
"I love you too and you know I would never do anything to hurt our baby" Ronnie apologized.
"Its ok baby, I love you and it will be ok" Brad kissed Ronnie deeply.

The rest of the evening Brad and Ronnie talked about the baby, possible names and nursery ideas and several other baby related things.

The doctor released Ronnie the next day and Brad took her home and they hung out together for the rest of the day snuggled together.

Chapter 12

Brad was slowly starting to feel better and the team doctors finally said he could just skate alone on the ice. He skated and things still seemed a little off but he was determined to get better before the end of the season.

Brad was working out in the team gym one day with several of his teammates. Brenden Morrow decided to jump around and pretend to dance to the random song that was playing on the sound system to get some laughs out of his teammates. Brad just shook his head and laughed. It felt good to laugh not that he had been sad lately it had just been stressful with his injury and Ronnie almost losing the baby.

"I am just so cool with my awesome dancing" Brenden said as he continued to act like a fool.
"Oh my word, Brenden you are crazy" Brad joked still laughing.
"I am and I don't care" Brenden laughed too and finally stopped and sat down to catch his breath.
"I can tell you do not care" Brad said shaking his head and then went to get on a stationary bike to work out his legs.
"Hey Brad, how are you? I know you and Ronnie have been kinda going through a lot of stuff" Brenden asked.
"We are doing ok. Ronnie is on bed rest and its driving her insane but she is a great sport" Brad said.
"Glad to hear she is going to be ok and now we just need you to get healthy because boy we miss you on the ice man" Brenden stated.
"I know and hopefully before too long" Brad said hopefully.


Meanwhile back at the condo, Ronnie was chilling in the living room reading a baby name book that Brad had given her. She had all sorts of baby books to read and was learning a lot of stuff and some things that she was not sure she wanted to know.

Ronnie was waiting for Brad to come home just because she was bored out of her mind and wanted his company. Her dad and come by earlier and brought lunch and they ate on the balcony of the condo. She enjoyed her time with her dad. They had fun talking about the team and the baby.

Just as Ronnie was about to call Brad she heard the door and wanted to bad to jump up and run into his arms she restrained herself.

"Hey hottie" Ronnie called from the bedroom where she was chilling.
"Hey sexy" Brad answered back and then came and sat down next to her and kissing her.
Ronnie enjoyed the kiss and then Brad pulled back, "What's been going on sweetie?"
"Dad came over for lunch and we ate on the balcony and it was nice. The weather is great today" Ronnie said.
"Sounds busy and I hope you relaxed" Brad said sternly and looking at Ronnie.
"Dude, of course I chilled" Ronnie said smiling.
"Good because I love both of you" Brad said and then put his hand on Ronnie's abdomen.
"We love you too Brad. Now I am bored so entertain me please" Ronnie asked with her adorable smile that Brad could not resist.

He leaned down and kissed her and then he talked to her about what he had done that day at the arena.

They hung out and finally Ronnie convinced Brad to take her out of the house for a short walk in their complex. It did Ronnie wonders just being outside and Brad kept asking her if she was ok and she kept reassuring she was fine.

They got home and Ronnie was tired so she decided to take a nap before dinner and Brad stayed in the living room and watched some tv.

After a while Brad ordered dinner and then got the table ready for a romantic dinner for two. When the food got there he set everything up and then went to check on Ronnie but she was not in bed. He heard her in the bathroom and knocked on the door.

"Hey gorgeous are you ok?" Brad asked.
Ronnie opened the door, "Hey I am fine just your child making me nauseous" Ronnie joked and put her hand on his chest.
"Ok just making sure because I have dinner ready".
"You are my hero because I am starving".
"Great shall we go?" Brad asked and Ronnie took his hand and they headed into the kitchen and Ronnie smiled when she saw how Brad and taken the time to set setting for a romantic evening they both enjoyed.
